£600,000 Raised - Newsletter
We are excited to share with you that we have now raised £600,000 towards the purchase and development of the site here at Sizewell Hall. As Tom and Martin mentioned, we can share with you now that we need to raise £1.2m, of the overall target of £2m, by the middle of December in order to be able to proceed with the purchase. So, halfway through the year we are halfway towards that initial target, which is really encouraging. A number of larger trusts we have spoken to about possible grant funding, have requested that we reach £600,000 before they will consider an application. This is vital as it shows support for the project and that we are committed to raising the money needed to purchase the hall. So, being able to hit this milestone is a real encouragement to the fundraising team and enables us to submit some larger grant applications that will hopefully push that total further towards the £2m target.

Walk To Sizewell Hall - Mission Complete!
As I'm sure you will remember; Joe, Tim, Ben and Zach, from Oak Hall Expeditions set out to walk from Otford Manor where they are based all the way to Sizewell Hall over 4 days in the scorching heatwave at the end of May. They completed the last day of this mammoth mission on the bank holiday Monday 25th May and were greeted at the finish line by a group of supporters to cheer them over the line. They were also joined for the last leg of the journey by some of their colleagues at Oak Hall and Maggie and Chris Ginn for some of the walk also.
Between them they raised an amazing £7950 towards the purchase and development fund, thank you to everyone who donated, cheered them on, joined us at the finish line and especially to the team who walked. It was inspiring watching them battle through the heat to make it to the hall.
